Hello, vapers –
Just once again sharing what I came across when checking the Google news for e-cigarettes. There was a nice find today in an article on dailycaller.com that I think many of you will be nodding your head along with. I know I am.
In one of the largest surveys ever taken of people who use e-cigarettes/vaporizers, the data shows that almost a MILLION Americans threw away their traditional pack of smokes for good by switching to electronic cigarettes.
The survey was conducted with nearly 20,000 vapers who were CASAA (Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association) in the USA. It is cautioned that because of the size of the survey pool you cannot entirely extrapolate it to the general population of vapers, but it gives a pretty good sense when you scale it and allows for a good estimate, which is how they reached the one million figure.
Of the respondents — again, all who were vapers — almost 90 percent of them claimed to have quit smoking (traditional cigarettes) entirely, while another 5 percent continued to smoke. (I’m scratching my head on what third option the remaining 5 percent could be). Of those 5 percent who continued to smoke, 34 percent of them say that they now smoke one cigarette per day or fewer, which has to be a huge decline in any smoker’s habit. A whopping 99% say they are of the belief that they would still be smoking if they hadn’t changed over to vaporizers.
This data is quite a different picture than that seen when compared to those who have tried to quit smoking through the use of other smoking cessation devices, such as nicotine gum or patches, nicotine replacement therapies and pharmaceutical remedies.
All this just kind of backs up what I’ve been saying all along. I’m a former smoker, and I can say former because I no longer am, and that is all through the use of e-cigs. They’ve changed my life and have become a passion of mine. Hope you are enjoying them just as much as me, whether you are just doing it leisurely or purposefully to stop smoking.
Thanks for reading, I’ll be back with more news tomorrow.
